Stone commencedhis last visiting and preaching tour through the statesof Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Though near twoyears before he had received a paralytic stroke whichgreatly disabled him, he had so far recovered as to beable to walk a little, and again with profit to occupythe pulpit. He seemed to have a premonition that hisend was near, and therefore wherever he went, he spokeasa dying man, with all the solemnities of death ‘and judg-ment resting upon him. Though his speech was mucha impaired by paralysis, his mind ‘appeared more vigorous than it had been for many years ; and he spoke and wrote with the energy of his best days. On the 10th of Junehe arrived at Noblesville, Indiana, where he met manyof the prominent preachers of that state ; and with themand the Christians in attendance, enjoyed a pleasantand profitable interview.
