Guppy says “One hundred years since the prin-cipal family of Larkin lived at Grove in Wickham Parish,Kent, and there are several memorials of the family in thechurch.’ He states also that in Kent, one quarter of oneper cent. of the population bears the name Larkin. Green-wood’s “County Kent History” states that Larkin Hall isnear Frindsbury Church, 114 miles from Rochester. OnBoley Hill, Rochester is a monument to Chas.
