The meanscore increased from pretest to posttest in every case except for theattitude scale in the LSGD group. The mean score for the pre-attitudescale was 61.90 and the post-attitude mean score was 60.60. This de-crease in mean score is due largely to student number 20, whose attitudescore dropped 31 points--from 89 to 58. As in the upper one-half abilitygroups, computation of the ratio s/X indicates that the relative disper-sion about the mean decreased in every case, however, the decrease was very slight in the LCD group on the fundamentals test.
